Description

Carte de Sejour are a group of young Algerians based in France, strongly involved with "SOS Racisme", the anti racist campaign. Powerful punky-soul-arabic vocals, instrumentation with oud, darbouka and bendir with electric guitar, synthesizer and rock drum kit, and pointedly poltical lyrics (translated on the cover) all add up to a gritty and fascinating mix which grows with repeated playing.
