The Piranha label is committed to the worldwide release of "local" music in a world full of unheard music. Beyond the sounds produced from the bowels of the Motorola 68000 silicon chip and machine-driven Western Pop Culture, Piranha looks for alternatives to the World's one and only super-Culture.
Roots Piranhas is a selection of special tracks from the catloguer of the Piranha world music label. The tracks chosen are those that maybe lead one best to the origins of the music laid down by the musicians and so, in relation to the regular Piranha releases, Roots Piranhas acts as a time machine back into the past: Roots Piranhas is a meeting of the raw materials , prototypes and predecessors of "Piranha music".
