The Ruth Yaakov Ensemble from Israel forge an exciting mixture of musical styles of Oriental and Occidental origin. They explore their leitmotifs employing variously the female voice, accordion, percussion, violin and three varieties of lute: the saz, the oud and the bouzouki.
