Salih Nour - "Songs from the village"

Description

Salih Nour left his father´s home at an early age. However, to show his father respect he sings in his parent´s dialects, shich are Dongolawi and Beja/Hadendowa. Most of his songs come from his traditional upbringing. They are being performed during weddings and other festivities. Most of the lyrics are written by Salih Nour himself.... One of his main motivations is the desire to let his father know that music is something beautiful and not evil. Quote Salih: 'I hope that my music brings alittle bit of peace in people´s hearts and joy in their lives.'
