Monica describes her own band thus - 'Nois means 'us' in Brazilian Portuguese. We are a group of musicians from Brazil, England, Germany, Italy and Mozambique who share a passion for the music that comes from Brazil. Brazil --my country - where the sounds came in from Europe and Africa blended with an indefinable native colour to result in beautiful music, music which fills you with fire. To be faithful to Brazil's musical tradition is not just a question of tight rhythms and the right chords. Brazilian music is a collective thing.
